dsc power 832 bell operation

I have installed a dsc power 832 system in my home as it was built.
Now I am attempting to program the system and all is well so far, but
when I connect the "bell" circuit to my indoor siren, it produces a low
volume churp which I can not figure out why or how to turn off. It
does not time out based on the bell timer and I show no alarms on the
panel. I did not install any resistors in the circuit. Any ideas??

Unfortunately, Honeywell has donated a large sum of equipment for our
use. I am now constantly reminded WHY I refuse to personally use their

Make traffic for test the link

Hi All,

I have some input and CRC Errors in my serial interface (Controller
E1). I have a lot of errors when i have a lot of traffic in my serial
(channelized E1) interface. And i have verry little errors when traffic
is normal.

I think that the erros are in relation with my cable... Well.

I changed the cable and i need to generate a traffic to see if i have
errors.

I have taken the task to do some capacity planning in our server and

Just purchased a used 1760 router, and I was wondering if someone here
could help me get the SDM interface working again. I'm new to Cisco
and am learning on the fly.

Client wants the kids code to NOT work on weekends, and possibly allow
client to adjust scheds. He has 6150 keypads...and I'm using sched 2 for
daily test.

Problem with Cat4507R and media converter

I have a Cat4507R with WS-X4148-RJ 10/100 ethernet module that is connected
to an MRV EM316-EFRM/S1 fiber meida converter which then ships it off to a
CPE metro ethernet circuit via single mode fiber. When I set the MRV
equipment's RJ-45 port facing the 4507R to 100 full and then the 4507R to

Show Crypto Map

Does anyone know if the following command works:

show crypto [ipsec] sa [map map_name] | address | identity

I have a PIX running 6.3(5) which terminates a lot of VPN tunnels. I have
been trying to isolate a specific crypto map entry by typing the above (and
different variations of it). No matter what I type I cannot seem to sort the
output by the peer ip address.

the first of many newbie questions

Sorry for these but our senior network engineer is gone - I have a GBIC
in a CAT4006 that connects to a Verizon NID that provides a 1 Gig
circuit. Can the GBIC be hard coded for speed and duplex? I tried doing
duplex full and speed 1000 but those commands wernt accepted.

Get Interface stats NOT VLAN stats on 6500

Hello,
I am trying to get stats from each of the interfaces on the blades and
running a quick SNMP I can get the VLAN stats but not the Interface
stats.
Could anyone give me an idea on the OID to check?

VoIP in Ad-hoc n/w

HI,
Need help in desiging VoIP service for Ad-hoc n/ws. Objective
is that there should be no cenralised point in it. It will be useful
in scenarios like Disasters when different teams arrive and they need
to communicate.

*It will use sip to communicate, (each node will be having sip server
and client)

Scantronic 9800 Installation Manual

Following a frantic 15 minutes last night, disconnecting batteries and
power supplies from all parts of my 9800 system, I now have a quiet
household. The original problem was the failure of the battery in the
main control unit which, as is well documented, causes the internal
alarm to go off every couple of minutes even if you type in the user
code (why???!!!). To top it all it caused me to miss the end of the
footy ; (

Anyway... I now have a dead system, and will buy a new battery to fix
it, h ..

Linksys RV082 Problem: Can "login" but can't access web based utility

Hi,

Ok this is going to sound strange but here goes... I've had the
Linksys RV082 for 6 months now and it's worked great until last
Tuesday. Users couldn't connect to the internet etc... I've done
numerous tests and here's what's happening:

- I can access the web based utility whe on the internal network
